Death: Graciella's wisdom shines through as she guides my hand in pulling this card today. I had just learned of the death of someone I knew who left her loving family and friends with the burden of grief during this holiday season. I am often amazed at how Graciella supersedes my desire to have a happy post for you readers and will always channel her truths through me. There are so many levels to life, what we experience and how we experience it. The public eye is usually focused on the harried shoppers, media promotions, and the pretty ornaments that we have hung on our trees and our mantles. At a deeper level, we manage a multitude of feelings; our griefs, our losses, our desires that have not yet manifested, our hopes that we are in fear will never come to fruition. There is a fear that is attached to death and its always untimely timing. By being aware of the levels and cycles we, as humans, experience, we know that we must attend to our inner needs as well as our outer needs. Death of our physical beings can bring relief and a joining to those who have gone before us and await us with open arms. Death to the old ways and patterns that no longer work for us allow us to embrace the freedoms of the new. Wherever you are today, take a moment to breathe in the breath of life. Embrace the known and the unknown, with awareness that we need not be in fear of transformation in whatever way this will manifest for you.
