The North:
Graciella smiles and gives thanks and blessings to you as she sees you honor your ancestors on today's celebrated Day of the Dead. She is gleeful at the candles, the candy and food offerings, the colorful toys, and mementos that assures her and many other souls who have crossed over that they are remembered. Graciella reminds us that the North is the place where those who have crossed over reside. Many of them help us to focus, live in gratitude, and nudge us onto the paths that are meant for us. Graciella tells us that their spirits are sustained whenever we speak their names, during family gatherings, and when we pray for them at any day of the year. We need not be restricted to one day but can revel in the joy of celebrating our ancestors at any time of the year.
